Job Description
Consolidated Precision Products is seeking a Furnace Operator to run high-temperature equipment used to process aerospace and industrial castings. The operator will load and unload parts, set and monitor furnace controls, record heat-treatment data, and verify parts meet specifications. This role enforces strict safety and quality standards, performs basic equipment checks, and communicates issues to maintenance and supervision. The position offers hands-on experience with advanced aerospace casting technologies and opportunities for skill growth in a technical, team-driven environment. Responsibilities Operate industrial furnaces and related heat-treatment equipment per work instructions Load and unload castings and components using appropriate material handling tools Set, adjust, and monitor furnace temperatures, cycles, and controls Record process parameters and heat-treatment data accurately in logs or systems Inspect parts before and after processing to verify quality and adherence to specifications Follow all safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures in the furnace area Perform basic preventive checks and report equipment issues to maintenance Maintain a clean, organized furnace and staging area Coordinate with quality and production teams to meet schedule and quality targets Participate in training and continuous improvement activities to enhance processes Required Skills Furnace operation Heat treatment processes Temperature monitoring and control Industrial safety and PPE use Reading work orders and specs Basic mechanical troubleshooting Quality inspection and documentation Use of gauges and measuring tools Material handling equipment operation Basic computer and ERP data entry
