Job Description

Responsible for the proper setup and operation of injection molding machines (including auxillary equipment) to produce precision molded plastic components. Mold processing and process troubleshooting of various types of injection mold and thermoplastic resins to ensure optimum quality of parts produced. Perform mold setup and changeovers. Perform safety checks, cleaning of molds, greasing and other various in process maintenance tasks. Change inserts and cores as required. Ensure correct materials are utilized and cleanliness is maintained. Train molding operators in the safe operation of machines and equipment. Execute daily production tasks in accordance with production schedules. Monitor and troubleshoot processing problems, perform preventative maintenance tasks and document process changes. Identify and recommend improvements to mold and equipment. Troubleshoot and determine root cause's quality/part issues. Work with quality and engineering departments to maintain and improve process control. Assist engineering in validation of new tools and testing of repaired tools. Perform other related duties and tasks as required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Mechanical aptitude and experience with plastic injection molding machines. Experience with Nylon and Polypropylene plastics. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documentation. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions. Good communication skills. Basic computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing etc). A 2-year technical degree is preferred, but like experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Pay will be determined based on experience level. One opening for "B" shift position 8 pm to 6 am.
