Job Description
Superior Plastics is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual who is willing to learn and grow into an Injection Mold Maintenance Technician role. Injection mold experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on attitude. Pay $24.50-$28.50 per hour (based on experience) Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, inspection, and repairs on injection molds.
- Troubleshoot mold issues and replace components such as ejector pins, bolts, screws, fittings, and other hardware.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hot runner manifolds and components , including heaters and thermocouples.
- Identify and purchase parts and supplies needed for mold repairs.
- Coordinate with local tool shops for minor repairs, machining, welding, and ejector pin repairs.
- Work with Project and Tooling Engineers to identify mold problems and develop repair solutions.
- Maintain mold cooling/water circuits and assist with polishing, fitting, and minor machining.
- Document repairs and preventive maintenance and help keep tooling organized and production-ready. What We're Looking For
- Mechanically inclined with a strong willingness to learn.
- Enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and understanding how things work.
- Dependable, organized, and able to take ownership of assigned work.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Mold maintenance, machining, tool and die, automotive, industrial maintenance, or other mechanical experience is a plus. Benefits
