RESPONSIBILITIESMold or cast metal or thermoplastic parts and products by setting up, operating, and tending metal or plastic molding, casting, or coremaking machinesEnsure conformance to specifications by using precision measuring tools to measure and visually examine products for surface and dimensional defectsManage the operation of automatic machinery to ensure that products meet quality standards and to detect jams or malfunctionsMake necessary adjustments and learn basic troubleshootingRegulate pressure, temperature, speed, and feed ratesSet cycle timesRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to establish setups, temperature, and time settings and plan production sequencesComply with health and safety regulations and always wear protective gearMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentWork with team to meet company's quotas and goals
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is a plusAbility to follow written and verbal instructions carefullyWork in a fast-paced environment with precisionMay need to stand for long periodsMay need to engage in repetitive motions including bending, squatting, pushing, and pullingAbility to work in varying weather and temperature conditionsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong attention to detailSurge hires for a variety of top jobs in the area.
