Are you an experienced Slitter Operator with a mechanical background and strong math skills ? Do you thrive in a hands-on, detail-focused environment? If so, we want you on our 2nd shift team ! We are looking for a skilled professional who can set up and operate slitting machines, inspect materials, and ensure quality production . Prior supervisory experience is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Material Handling Equipment:

Must be certified in the material handler position. Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Slitting Machine Operation & Quality Control:

Pull, inspect, and verify products before processing . Perform machine setups according to work order specifications . Ensure products meet specifications , record measurements, and follow written work instructions. Communicate with sales representatives regarding order adjustments or clarifications. Identify, record, and segregate scrap and non-conforming materials .

Maintenance & Safety:

Perform equipment preventive maintenance and general cleanup. Maintain all measurement equipment in working condition. Properly operate weighing scales and record inspection measurements. Follow all safety guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality . Assist in lean and quality improvement activities . Train new team members as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma/GED ✔

Skills & Experience:

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math . Previous warehouse experience , especially in the metals industry . Forklift experience required. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs . Experience using hand-held measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures). Computer literate —comfortable using technology in daily tasks. Strong safety-first mindset . Why Join Us?
