Permanent / Direct Hire Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for setting up, operating, optimizing, and troubleshooting injection molding processes used to produce high-quality, close-tolerance thermoplastic components. The ideal candidate will have strong injection molding setup and processing experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and use precision inspection equipment. While 5+ years of experience is preferred, candidates with 3+ years of strong technician-level experience will also be considered. This position works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to maintain production efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Set up and operate injection molding machines to produce close-tolerance plastic parts. Set up molds and auxiliary equipment for production. Run new production jobs as scheduled. Troubleshoot and optimize molding processes. Monitor process temperatures, injection pressures, and machine settings. Inspect first-run and sample parts to ensure they meet customer specifications. Complete required inspection documentation and quality reports. Measure critical dimensions using micrometers, Vernier calipers, and optical comparators. Read and follow blueprints, work orders, routers, and programming instructions. Deburr and package finished production according to established procedures. Perform preventative maintenance and notify supervisors when equipment requires repair. Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S principles. Follow all company safety, EH&S, quality, and operational procedures. Support the team with additional duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of injection molding technician experience; 5+ years preferred. Strong experience setting up and operating injection molds and auxiliary equipment. Experience working with thermoplastics . Ability to read and understand blueprints, work orders, and technical documentation. Experience using precision inspection equipment. Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work overtime as needed. Good manual dexterity and ability to operate machinery and equipment. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Compensation & Bonus $24.00-$34.00/hr., depending on experience Eligible for periodic bonus payments/annual bonus targeted at up to 10% of hourly rate , based on company and individual performance. Bonus payments are variable and not guaranteed.
