Job Description

Job Title:
Mold Setup Technician

Easley, SC Pay:
$23+/hour
Schedule:
2nd Shift | Monday
  • Friday | 3:00 PM
  • 11:00 PM Our client provides a stable, team-oriented manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
They specialize in advanced plastic processing and are known for strong operational standards and a collaborative culture. They are looking for you, an experienced Mold Setup Technician , to support production by performing mold changes, machine setup, and ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. This is a direct hire opportunity within a growing organization.
What you get to do:
  • Perform mold changes and setup functions for injection molding and/or thermoforming machines Load and position molds into presses and complete changeovers Set up and adjust auxiliary equipment (heat controllers, chillers, thermolators) Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to ensure product quality Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of molds and equipment Inspect molds for defects and ensure proper storage Complete documentation for all changeovers and setups Troubleshoot production issues and support process improvements Train and assist operators on proper machine usage and safety procedures Safely operate forklifts and other equipment as needed What you need to succeed: • High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 6 months of plastic manufacturing or molding experience preferred Experience with injection molding, thermoforming, or similar processes Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications Forklift experience preferred (or ability to obtain certification) Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus What's in it for you: • Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Stable, full-time opportunity with a growing company Hands-on role with opportunity to develop technical skills Team-focused and safety-driven environment On-site position !
