ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Key Responsibility for all Employees. All employees have the authority and responsibility to ensure Teknia-NA complies with customer and stakeholder requirements. All employees should have training and awareness of how their work impacts our customers and stakeholders. Job ReSPONSIBILITIES
  • Injection Molding Machine (IMM) set up - from when the new mold is in the machine until the injection molding process is stable, both in quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to adjust the automation parameters which results in improved product quality/process efficiency while reducing risk of quality issues.
  • Oversee the Over-Molding process to identify potential quality deviations due to the injection process or external to the injection process and react accordingly to solve the issue.
  • In collaboration with the Engineering Department, create process parameters' sheets and Standardized Work Instructions for the area/workstation.
  • Support the change-over of the cell and mold mounting.
  • Adjust the cell peripherals (loading carousel, robots, robot grippers, vision system and tote carousel).
  • Handle raw material changes, if needed.
  • Oversee the IMM peripherals (chiller, water heaters, dryer) and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform training for operators/technicians assigned to the area/workstation.
  • Support in achieving the production plan.
  • Record and report production/performance data.
  • Perform preventive maintenance in the cell.
  • Supports in maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible workplace leading to an appropriate 5S culture.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Responsible for the proper maintenance, inspection, cleaning, and upkeep of all over molding tools, molds, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Other duties may be assigned. Hiring Prerequisites
  • 4-5 years' experience related with plastic injection (Over-Molding experience desirable)
  • Injection Molding machine knowledge (Engel IMM is desirable)
  • Knowledge/experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics
  • Automotive Industry/Standards experience desirable.
  • Maintenance experience on Injection Molding Machines
  • Language skills to include the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals. Ability to understand and interpret Spanish is also desirable.
  • Reasoning skills to include the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Mathematical skills to include the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Knowledgeable with Quality Standards/Tools
  • Computer and MS Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point) skills job performance measureables
  • Over-Molding downtime due to improperly maintained equipment.
  • Customer quality issues and/or shutdowns
  • Cost of rework or scrap parts due to improperly maintained tooling or machine.
  • Accuracy and completion of required documentation.
  • Ability to successfully complete assigned jobs/ tasks in a timely manner and/or by a required completion date, and evaluated in respect to knowledge, initiative, dedication, attitude, quantity, quality, versatility, cooperation, dependability, leadership, safety, tardiness, housekeeping, organization, and attendance.

Pay:
$60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
