Job Description
A leading plastics manufacturer specializing in high-quality containers and packaging is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Blow Mold Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of advanced Uniloy and Bekum extrusion blow molding equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that production lines run efficiently, safely, and consistently produce products that meet rigorous quality specifications.

High SchoolResponsibilities Machine Operation and Setup:
Set up, start, and operate assigned blow molding machines, focusing on Uniloy and Bekum models. Adjust machine controls, temperatures, pressures, cycle times, and parison programming (e.g., thickness and distribution) to optimize product quality and minimize scrap. Assist with mold and tooling changes as required for different production runs. Quality Control (QC): Perform regular quality checks, including visual inspection, weight checks, leak testing, and dimensional verification (using calipers, gauges, etc.). Identify and correct product deviations such as flash, poor distribution, concavity, or thickness variations. Ensure all finished products adhere to established specifications and standards.Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Monitor machine performance, anticipate potential issues, and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions (e.g., clearing jams, adjusting trimming machines). Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM) and cleaning of the machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment (e.g., conveyors, grinders). Communicate complex maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Technician team.Material Handling and Documentation:
Ensure correct plastic resins (e.g., HDPE) and colorants are supplied to the machines. Regrind excess material and scrap for reuse following established procedures.
