Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mold maker to join our 1st shift tooling team. This position is responsible for the construction, maintenance, repair, and optimization of high-precision molds used in the manufacturing of optical-grade polymer products. The ideal candidate will have strong mold making experience, excellent machining skills, and the ability to work within extremely tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, assemble, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-precision molds for optical manufacturing applications.
Operate and utilize CNC machining equipment to manufacture and modify mold components to exact specifications.
Perform precision fitting, spotting, polishing, and bench work to ensure optimal mold function and part quality.
Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to support new tooling projects, mold improvements, and process optimization.
Maintain tooling documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Required and Preferred QualificationsExperience in high-precision mold making within an all-CNC manufacturing environment is required.
CNC machining experience is highly preferred.
Hard milling experience is preferred.
Experience working with tight-tolerance tooling, precision measurements, and technical drawings is required.5-axis machining experience is a strong plus.
Additional RequirementsMust be able to comply with the company's strict no-smoking policy. Candidates cannot use tobacco or nicotine products, including smoking outside of work or at home.

The Fort Worth facility serves as the company's primary engineering, tooling, mold making, machining, and manufacturing center, supporting customers from initial concept through full-scale production. Industries served include security and motion sensing, LED and commercial lighting, machine vision, biomedical devices, imaging systems, defense-related applications, laser systems, and advanced optical technologies.
