Position:
Mitigation Field Technician As a Mitigation Field Technician, you will perform hands-on restoration services related to water, fire, smoke, mold, and biohazard damage across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to clearly explain findings and recommended remediation solutions to customers. All work must be completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company protocols and 911 Restoration brand standards. Daily Responsibilities Maintain professionalism, job-site safety, and quality control at all times Perform mitigation work in accordance with IICRC standards, safety guidelines, and company protocols Set up, monitor, and relocate drying and extraction equipment Remove water- and mold-damaged building materials Perform treatment and removal of mold growth, damaged materials, biohazard materials, and affected contents Document and record moisture meter readings accurately Documentation & Compliance Complete accurate job documentation, including photos, moisture readings, daily logs, and notes Assist with scope reviews and estimating support as needed Maintain compliance with insurance requirements, industry standards, and company policies Ensure job files are complete for billing and close-out Qualifications No prior restoration experience required; construction, labor, or trade experience a plus Willingness to learn water mitigation, mold remediation, fire/smoke restoration, and biohazard cleanup procedures Ability to follow IICRC guidelines, safety protocols, and company procedures under supervision Basic ability to use hand tools and assist with equipment setup, monitoring, and breakdown Willingness to wear PPE and work in exposure-controlled environments Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude Ability to take direction, communicate clearly, and work as part of a team Valid driver's license and ability to respond to emergency calls Ability to pass background check and drug screening Work Expectations Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment up to 75 lbs Willingness to work in wet, dirty, confined, or debris-filled environments under supervision Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to wear required PPE at all times, including respirators, Tyvek suits, gloves, and eye protection Availability for on-call shifts, nights, weekends, and emergency response as scheduled Ability to follow safety procedures, job instructions, and company policies consistently Willingness to travel to multiple job sites in a single day Ability to work extended hours during emergency or large-loss events Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and respectful conduct on all job sites Benefits Paid time off and holidays in accordance with company policy Opportunities for advancement within a growing organization Looking for local applicants as work location is in person. Each 911 Restoration location is independently owned and operated. All employees are hired and employed solely by the local franchise.
