This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function , a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Technician II, Molding & Tooling Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks in mold tooling design and plastic injection molding processes. You will apply advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities while adhering to procedures.
Specifics include:
Handle highly complex technical tasks related to mold tooling design and plastic injection molding processes, supporting operations and contributing to efficiency within defined procedures Make significant decisions within the scope of your tasks, requiring advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate and complete documentation Ensure rigorous quality control and comply with regulatory requirements Complete all required training and commit to continuous improvement in operations
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON
High School Diploma or equivalent The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English 1

Medical Device experience or regulated industries strongly preferred Molding experience The ability to work in a fast-paced molding environment Preventative maintenance experience The ability to troubleshoot molding machines and/or auxiliary equipment/material distribution systems Robot/automated picking end of arm tooling Proficiency in electrical, electronics, and schematics
