Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Boring Mill Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate horizontal/vertical boring mills to produce precision metal components according to blueprints and tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities Machine Set-Up:
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, attachments, and cutting tools. Use overhead cranes to load heavy parts onto the machine table safely.
Operation & Adjustment:
Calculate and regulate machining factors like speed, feed, and coolant flow. Enter and edit G-codes or control media as needed.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial gauges.
Troubleshooting:
Monitor machine cycles to detect malfunctions, tool wear, or out-of-tolerance cuts, and make necessary adjustments.
Maintenance & Safety:
Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area. Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating horizontal or vertical boring mills.
Technical Skills:
Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Programming Knowledge:
Familiarity with CNC controls and reading/editing G-codes.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use overhead rigging/cranes, and stand for extended work shifts.

From $16.00 per hour
