Plastic Injection Mold Operator Tinker & Rasor | Full-Time | Onsite Position Summary Tinker & Rasor is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to operate plastic injection molding equipment and produce quality components for our manufactured products. No previous injection molding experience is required. Onsite training will be provided in machine operation, part inspection, material handling, mold changes, and production procedures. This position is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work, follows instructions carefully, and is willing to learn. Primary Duties Complete required training in machine operation, quality requirements, and safety procedures. Operate injection molding machines according to established work instructions after completing training. Monitor machine operation and report equipment problems, unusual conditions, or defective parts to the department lead. Inspect molded parts for conformity with established quality requirements. Trim, sort, count, label, and assemble components as required. Assist with mold and material changes, machine setups, startups, and shutdowns. Verify machine settings against approved process setup sheets and make adjustments only as trained and authorized. Prepare, identify, and handle raw molding materials to prevent contamination and maintain traceability. Perform routine cleaning and assist with basic mold and equipment maintenance as trained. Record production and inspection information using required forms or computer applications. Operate a label printer and maintain proper identification of finished components. Support the production schedule by completing assigned work accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow required safety procedures, including personal protective equipment, machine guarding, and applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive work consistently. Basic computer skills. Dependable attendance and commitment to safe work practices. Ability to work with a team and independently after training. Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing, assembly, or other hands-on work experience. Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, or machine control panels. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work is performed in a manufacturing shop without air conditioning, with elevated temperatures during hot weather. Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, squat, and reach. Duties include lifting and moving materials weighing approximately 50 pounds. Heavier or awkward loads require appropriate lifting equipment or assistance. Work involves moving machinery and heated equipment. Required safety training and protective equipment will be provided.
