Core Responsibilities:

Manage slitting machinery with a focus on safety and productivity within a high-volume production setting. Gain proficiency in navigating digital shop-floor interfaces and mastering overall equipment functionality. Ensure all tasks align with established quality benchmarks and specific product process documentation. Develop a firm grasp of scanning procedures and palletizing workflows. Collaborate effectively with Press Operators to address and resolve any quality concerns identified during slitting. Proactively flag potential operational issues to the press team, Quality Assurance, or plant leadership to ensure smooth production. Engage in regular team discussions centered on maintaining high safety and quality standards. Handle hazardous waste disposal tasks in accordance with facility protocols. Execute production tasks with a balance of high speed and precise accuracy. Demonstrate the physical capability to lift loads weighing up to 45 lbs. Remain flexible to accommodate overtime requests as business needs dictate.

Required Skills and Experience:

Prior background in a manufacturing role or operating industrial machinery is considered an asset. Literacy skills sufficient to interpret safety guidelines and technical work instructions. Ease of use when interacting with computer systems on the production floor. A dedicated mindset toward upholding safety protocols, product quality, and operational precision. Reliability and the ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-moving manufacturing atmosphere.
