Furnace Operator Wage:
$17.00/Hour Shift:
1st or 3rdShift Hours:
07:00 AM- 03:00 PM Monday
- Friday or 11:00 PM
- 07:00 AM Sunday
- Thursday QPS is seeking Furnace Operator right here in Beaver Dam!
Furnace Operator Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control the operation of furnaces to ensure optimal performance and adherence to production schedules
- Load and unload powdered metal components into and out of the furnace according to established procedures
- Monitor and adjust furnace temperature, atmosphere, and other parameters to achieve desired sintering results and product specifications
- Conduct regular inspections of sintered parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Identify and address any deviations or defects in the sintering process
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of furnaces and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating furnaces and handling powdered metal materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize safety risks
- Record and maintain accurate production and process data, including furnace operating parameters, material usage, and quality inspection results
- Coordinate with other team members, including machine operators, quality inspectors, and maintenance technicians, to optimize production efficiency and quality Requirements for
Furnace Operator:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in furnace operation, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and production specifications
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
