Job Description
The Foundry Operator supports daily production by assisting with molding, pouring, core making, shakeout, and general foundry operations . This is an entry‑level role designed for individuals who are reliable, safety‑focused, and eager to learn industrial manufacturing skills in a hands‑on environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with molding and core-making processes to prepare sand molds and cores for casting. Support metal pouring operations by preparing materials, staging equipment, and following safety procedures. Operate basic foundry equipment such as mixers, conveyors, shakeout machines, and hand tools. Perform visual inspections on molds, cores, and castings to identify defects or irregularities. Clean and prepare castings by removing sand, flash, and debris after shakeout. Follow all safety protocols including PPE use, heat‑exposure precautions, and equipment lockout/tagout. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production flow. Work collaboratively with team members and communicate issues to supervisors promptly. Physical Requirements Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (with assistance when needed). Stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Work in a high‑heat, high‑noise environment with appropriate PPE. Handle industrial tools and equipment safely during daily operations. Qualifications No prior foundry experience required — full training provided. Strong work ethic and reliable attendance . Ability to follow written and verbal instructions . Commitment to safety and quality standards . Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company. Preferred (Not Required) Experience in manufacturing or labor-intensive work . Basic mechanical aptitude . Forklift or overhead crane exposure . Familiarity with hand tools or industrial equipment .
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:
