Big Bay- 3rd Shift

Position Summary:

Wausau Tile is looking for a hardworking and safety-conscious individual to join the Big Bay team in the Site Furnishings Department . This role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, able to read and interpret production documents, and proficient in using hand tools, measuring devices, and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Mold Preparation:

Clean fiberglass molds and apply release oil. Install rebar, bolt inserts, and reinforcements according to product specifications. Assemble mold components manually or with lifting tools (chains, hoists, slings). Secure molds to ensure readiness for concrete pouring.

Concrete Pouring:

Operate overhead cranes and mud hoppers to pour concrete. Use pneumatic vibrators to compact the mixture and remove air pockets. Allow products to cure overnight.

Mold Removal:

Disassemble molds, remove bolts and clamps. Use lifting equipment to remove finished products and stage for further processing. Patch and grout holes or imperfections in the concrete. Sand products to meet finishing requirements using machines or by hand.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, twist, squat, and climb for extended periods. Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
