Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm (ON-CALL required) This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance and operations professional who enjoys building systems as much as solving technical problems and would thrive in a startup manufacturing environment . Working alongside the Engineering Lead, you will become the technical leader for the production floor while developing preventive maintenance programs, SOP's, training materials, and maintenance standards that improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency. This role is about more than keeping equipment running—it is about building a scalable, organized operation that continuously improves and becomes less dependent on individual expertise. Responsibilities Support the commissioning and startup of new production equipment. Become proficient in all production and utility systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and automation issues. Assist in training & mentoring production and maintenance personnel. Lead technical problem-solving on the production floor. Help establish maintenance standards and preventive maintenance programs. Develop SOPs, work instructions, checklists, and training materials. Capture lessons learned and convert them into repeatable standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability. Serve as the day-to-day technical leader in the absence of the Engineering Lead. Qualifications Technical degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or Mechanical Engineering Technology. 5+ years of experience with industrial maintenance (automated manufacturing or food processing equipment is HIGHLY preferred) 2+ years leading maintenance or operations teams. MUST be hands-on and willing to work alongside operators and technicians. Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of pneumatics, conveyors, servo systems, sensors, and industrial controls. Basic PLC troubleshooting skills (programming experience is a plus but not required) Comfortable working with uncertainty and changing priorities. Calm under pressure. Self-directed and proactive.
