Posted 06/2026 Job Description Job Summary GAL AeroStaff Ltd. is an aerospace staffing company specializing in temporary and permanent staffing for general and technical positions in the aviation and aerospace industry. In keeping with this goal, each benefit program has been carefully devised. These benefits include time-off benefits, such as vacations and holidays, and insurance and other plan benefits. We are constantly studying and evaluating our benefits programs and policies to better meet present and future requirements. GAL AeroStaff is seeking casting subject matter experts (SME) to assist the supply base with technical and process improvement opportunities. SME's should have an understanding of manufacturing system and processes across various commodities including castings and forgings, machined parts, engineered items, special processing, etc. SME shall have appropriate experience to assist in problem identification and resolution. General Tasks consist of: Design & Producibility Support Design reviews with Engineering and Suppliers Cast source selection and capabilities to manufacture product Provide inputs to cast design guides Advise on material selection and cast method Drawing reviews, including tolerancing and GD&T recommendations Quality/producibility review (i.e. Pressure Test, NDT inspection, Weld Repair…etc.) Technical Oversite Support Triumph Work Transfers as assigned Evaluate new cast sources and their capability Review tooling, tooling condition/life of tool Review process sheets Review part complexity Technical assessments of design and process General SME will report into Supply Chain. Regular reports on activities are expected. Supplier support onsite and at Triumph sites as needed. Candidate shall be able to 'roll up their sleeves' and assist with supplier tooling and process reviews Service provider works to match consultant experience and capabilities to customer needs and requirements. Energetic and enthusiastic person willing to lead, promote and drive process control and improvement methodologies for assigned suppliers.
