Job Summary:
As a Process Improvement Technician in Arconic's Ingot Department, you will play a key role in supporting a wide range of manufacturing, process engineering, and production operations. In this role, you will: Coordinate & implement Lean Manufacturing principles across the department's material flow paths and must gain a complete view and understanding of the area's manufacturing process to be successful. Primarily focus on tactical projects in the areas of safety, recovery improvement, training, and production. Coordinate efforts on process improvements, including capital projects, reliability excellence, and will support and lead the execution of problem-solving efforts related to process and machine improvements.
Also note:
While this role works primarily daytime shifts M-F, the incumbent must be flexible to work off-shifts as needed to support the functions of this role.
You have:
(required) High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution. 8 years of previous manufacturing experience. 3 years of supervisory experience Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Experience with aluminum casting process Ability to engage with employee at all levels of the organization Experience with the application of lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing setting Experience identifying and assisting in resolving process-related problems Strong business, technical, computer, and analytical skills (from educational background and/or manufacturing experience.)
