Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Fixed Asset Inventory Auditor to support a short-term asset verification project at a large manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. This 2-3 month assignment is ideal for someone who is organized, comfortable using mobile technology, and able to work independently while navigating a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The primary responsibility of this position is to physically locate and verify company-owned equipment, tools, machinery, fixtures, and other fixed assets. The auditor will use a company-provided mobile application to verify asset information, document locations and conditions, and capture photographs to support accurate accounting and inventory records.

Key Responsibilities:

Use a company-provided mobile application to identify assets requiring verification. Physically locate equipment, tools, fixtures, machinery, and other fixed assets throughout the facility. Verify asset tag numbers against company records. Record asset locations, status, and other required information within the mobile application. Identify and document missing, damaged, untagged, or incorrectly recorded assets. Enter clear comments and supporting information when discrepancies are identified. Take clear photographs of equipment and asset tags for audit documentation. Coordinate with asset owners and facility personnel when additional information is needed. Ensure assigned assets are accurately documented and submitted for accounting validation. Maintain organized and accurate records throughout the verification project. Work independently to manage assigned areas and complete verification tasks efficiently. Follow all facility safety requirements and standard work procedures.

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy required. Comfortable using smartphones, mobile applications, and basic technology. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and manage an assigned workload. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in inventory management, auditing, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or asset tracking preferred. Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and industrial environments preferred. Experience using Microsoft Power Apps or similar mobile applications preferred. Ability to walk throughout a large manufacturing and warehouse facility for extended periods. Ability to safely navigate around industrial equipment, machinery, and active work areas. Ability to occasionally bend, reach, crouch, and position yourself as needed to locate equipment identification tags. Ability to comply with all required PPE and facility safety requirements.

Working Conditions:

Work will be performed throughout a large manufacturing and warehouse facility. Regular walking between departments, production areas, equipment locations, and work cells is required. Exposure to active manufacturing operations, industrial equipment, machinery, and warehouse activity. Position requires a high level of awareness when navigating active production areas. Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas.
