Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Manufacturing Intern to join our team for a paid summer internship program in May 2027. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, process improvement, and safety protocols. This internship offers valuable exposure to the inner workings of a dynamic manufacturing environment and provides an excellent platform for professional development.- Stipend Eligibility in addition to hourly pay.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
(not all inclusive): Assist with day-to-day manufacturing operations under the guidance of experienced professionals. Participate in production and manufacturing activities to gain practical experience. Work with safety, quality, and production on concerns and/or opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting process enhancements. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all associates. Document and analyze data related to production and quality metrics, efficiency, and performance. Engage in training sessions and workshops to expand knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, team growth, and leadership skills. Shadow and learn problem-solving methods from various management roles or departments, including Production, Quality, Maintenance or Engineering, Environmental & Safety, or Human Resources, and perform hands-on learning activities as directed. Any other duties as assigned by the reporting supervisor or manager.QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in an Engineering, Business, or a Manufacturing related field. Strong academic background with coursework in manufacturing processes, operations management, or related disciplines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and hourly associates and adapt to fast-paced manufacturing operations. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Travel may be required up to 10% per internship period. Physical ability to access all plant areas. Ability to lift 50lbs.
