SkillSetGroup is seeking an Operations Intern to support a manufacturing operation in the Woodinville, WA area . This is a hands-on opportunity for a college student interested in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and front-line leadership. The selected candidate will work alongside production, quality, and engineering teams while gaining practical experience with shop-floor performance, continuous improvement, and day-to-day manufacturing operations.

$22.00-$26.00/hr Hours Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Details Assist with day-to-day production and operational activities within a manufacturing environment. Work directly with production employees, supervisors, quality personnel, and engineering teams. Help maintain organized, efficient, and safe production areas through 6S practices. Review shop-floor performance and assist with operational and quality audits. Track and evaluate manufacturing metrics including scrap, throughput, first-pass yield, and equipment performance. Participate in improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, cost, and process efficiency. Assist teams with identifying production issues, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions. Help ensure manufacturing processes are completed according to established work instructions and production documentation. Support production scheduling, work-order tracking, and manufacturing document control. Participate in Kaizen activities, process trials, and the introduction of new or improved manufacturing processes. Gain hands-on exposure to aerospace manufacturing operations and production leadership. Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field . Must have completed at least the freshman year of college. Strong interest in manufacturing, operations, process improvement, or production leadership. Mechanically inclined with an interest in learning how manufacturing processes and equipment operate. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Comfortable working directly on a manufacturing floor and interacting with employees at different levels of the organization. Ability to take initiative, follow through on assignments, and take ownership of projects. Strong communication and organizational skills. Interest in continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to improve production performance.
