Full Time Synopsis:

The Process Specialist will Lead daily process management at operations level to ensure product quality and consistency on assigned assets. Work closely with process engineering and maintenance to identify and implement process improvements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates as a safety advocate. Authority to direct coater supervision and operators on process and product expectations. Provide written and verbal product and quality expectations to coater supervision / leads and operators daily to minimize production and quality issues. Ensures job information and quality requirements are current and clear in advance of jobs running on assigned assets. Ensure all manufacturing specification content is current and clear. Assists with development of operator training content. Be available for off-shift consulting with supervision / coater operators. Driven to troubleshoot operational issues with "hands on" resolution. Attend internal request for analysis (RFA) meetings as process liaison. Collaborate well with operations, production support, maintenance, technical, and quality. Assist with determination of "on hold" materials and customer returns. Participates in continuous improvement activities associated with asset responsibility. Assists with process development activities in support of new products. Works alongside engineering team to design and test process solutions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Previous coating/lamination experience preferred. Software proficiency (MS-Office, APEX) plus a desire to learn additional software. Experience with Six Sigma and Lean concepts; Yellow belt training desired. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Displays good written and verbal communication skills.
