Job Description

An industry leading agricultural company is seeking a full-time Filling Plant Operator. This position performs duties associated with the production, distribution and maintenance of containers, vessels and the operations of an agricultural chemical plant facility.
Requirements:
Must speak, read, and write in English. Clean DMV driving history. Candidate must be reliable, punctual with a strong work ethic. An attention to detail in all activities is imperative. Computer literacy with familiarity with basic email, Word, Excel, Android and iOS. Candidates must be well organized and comfortable working independently. This position requires that the candidate work Monday through Friday (with potential for Saturday's) up to 8-10 hours a day and including some holidays. Ability to travel periodically to other company locations for training. Physical skills, mental abilities, and requirements: The physical demands and work environment include office, facility and industrial environments. Often standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to lift 50 pounds without undue physical exertion and ability to stoop, reach, walk, and other physical activities associated with an office, facility and industrial environment. Fine and gross manipulation using both hands. Use hand and power tools appropriately and safely. Operate a forklift. Fully understand, comprehend, and strictly adhere to both oral and written safety, operating procedures and policies. Ability to communicate verbally and comprehend verbal instructions and requires sufficient sight and hearing to perform all job functions. See primary color spectrum. Must be physically capable of wearing PPE including air purifying respirators. Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and willingness to proactively assess issues. Ability to carry out defined procedures with specific instructions and abilities to learn new duties. Must be a self-starter, ability to work independently, and manage duties with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, venders, and peers. Function in a potential crisis situation under direction of supervisor or other in case of emergency that might occur in shipping and handling of hazardous materials. May be trained as
HAZWOPER
Technician for emergency response. May be subject to Federal background screening as required by Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS).
