As a Bulk Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient handling, transfer, and storage of petrochemical products within our refining plant and pipeline operations. Your role is vital in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting the continuous flow of materials through complex pipeline systems and terminal facilities. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and pipeline transfer vehicles to move bulk materials safely and efficiently. Monitor and control pipeline transportation systems using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to ensure optimal flow and safety. Conduct routine inspections of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) to verify system integrity and troubleshoot issues promptly. Manage terminal operations by overseeing loading/unloading processes, verifying inventory levels, and maintaining accurate logs. Follow strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents during outdoor work activities. Respond swiftly to emergency situations with preparedness for emergency response procedures related to petrochemical processing facilities. Perform equipment repairs or coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of refining plant machinery. Assist in heavy lifting tasks requiring physical strength and proper technique to handle piping components or equipment parts safely. Maintain compliance with safety standards specific to oil & gas operations, pipeline transportation, and refining environments. Experience Proven experience working in oil rig operations, refining plants, or petrochemical processing facilities. Hands-on knowledge of pipeline systems, terminal operations, and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and heavy equipment operation. Demonstrated ability to perform equipment repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in an outdoor industrial setting. Prior experience working within the energy & utilities sector or oil & gas industry is highly desirable. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments, heavy lifting, and emergency response readiness. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to flow rates or inventory management. Knowledge of petrochemical processing workflows, pipeline transportation procedures, and safety standards applicable to refining operations.
