Job Summary:
Performs a variety of duties related to the loading, preparation, filling, and shipping of cylinders, including high pressure cylinders containing flammable liquids and gases. This is a safety sensitive position. The performance of this position directly affects your safety as well as the safety of others as the employee is responsible for safely handling and filling cylinders.
Minimum qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent We will provide training but prefer at least one year of experience in a fill plant Forklift experience Ability to read Safety Data Sheets Solid math skills; add, subtract, multiply, divide and computes ratios and percentages. Ability to manipulate cylinders weighing up to 100 lbs.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
Fills cylinders including high pressure cylinders, according to Standard Operating Procedures Prepares cylinders for filling by confirming in test date, replaces shoulder labels and performs ring and odor tests. Determines whether retesting and/or repairs are required. Completes and maintains quality control documentation as per DOT, FDA, OSHA and Mitchell standards. Puts away stock. Fills Liquid Propane Cylinders as needed. Other duties as assigned. About the
