Job Description:
Lead the development and implementation of master plans for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems Direct technical studies, growth projections, and planning efforts that support utility capital improvement programs Manage utility planning reviews for development projects to ensure compliance with County, utility, and regulatory requirements Oversee reviews of utility construction plans, site and development projects, subdivision plats, and public utility easements Coordinate utility-related activities and permitting with state agencies, including FDOT projects and utility permits Provide technical guidance and engineering support to utility operations for complex infrastructure issues Collaborate with County departments, regulatory agencies, developers, property owners, and community stakeholders on utility planning initiatives Supervise, mentor, and develop planning staff through coaching, performance management, training, and recruitment activities Develop and manage the Planning team's annual budget and identify staffing and resource needs Monitor departmental performance metrics and ensure planning objectives, regulatory requirements, and service standards are achieved

About You Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or a highly related field AND four (4) years of job-related experience
  • OR•An associate's degree from an accredited college or university Civil Engineering or a highly related field AND six (6) years of job-related experience•AND-Two (2) years or more of supervisory experience in the operations and maintenance of repair and construction of water and sewer facilities Registered Professional Engineer licensed (P.
E. or P.G.) in the State of Florida at the time of hire A valid Florida Driver License at the time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Eight (8) years of experience in the field of utility engineering and planning Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to design and construction of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems and facilities Experience with Bentley's SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, or other hydraulic modeling software Experienced in using Microsoft Office software, Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and ArcGIS. About Everything Else Starting Pay Range:
$77,105.60
