Operate, start up, shut down, and maintain the cogeneration system - including the gas-powered turbine, duct burner, and energy recovery equipment. Must make critical operational decisions regarding the import or export of electrical power and independently diagnose and resolve equipment or process issues observed in the control room or during rounds, ensuring reliable and safe plant operation. Basic Qualifications 1. Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, and compressed air systems - including all auxiliary equipment - and the ability to read and accurately interpret their meters and related instrumentation. 2. Equivalent to 2 years high school plus 2‑3 years specialized trades training in power plant operation. 3. Requires State OE‑2, S‑1 or S‑2 certification. 4.
