Job Description

Position Summary:

The Distribution & Collection Operator leads a team performing maintenance, repair, and installation of water distribution and sewer collection systems, with a focus on collections/sewer plumbing expertise, while ensuring safe and reliable service.

Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of Distribution and Collection Operators in daily field operationsInstall, maintain, and repair water/sewer lines, meters, and related equipmentPerform line repairs, leak detection, and low-pressure troubleshootingAssist with preventative maintenance and equipment repairsOperate heavy equipment (backhoes, cranes, forklifts, dump trucks)Perform trench work, backfill, and site restorationClean sewer lines and lift station wet wellsTurn water meters on/off; install meters and meter boxesParticipate in rotating on-call schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)Complete work orders and field complaint forms

Requirements:

High school diploma or GEDFDEP Class 3 Distribution Operator License (or ability to obtain within one year)Construction experienceValid driver's license
