Overview Join our dynamic team as a Batch Plant Operator and become a vital part of the concrete manufacturing process! In this energetic role, you will oversee the operation of concrete batching plants, ensuring the precise mixing of materials to produce high-quality concrete products. Duties Operate and monitor batch plant equipment including mixers, loaders, and conveyors to produce consistent concrete mixes according to specified mixture designs. Manage raw material inventory, including aggregates, cement, additives, and water, ensuring proper storage and handling. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery such as concrete mixers, forklifts, cranes, and power tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software to set up forms and fabrication components accurately for construction projects. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling raw materials or finished products; operate heavy equipment like forklifts and loaders efficiently. Adhere strictly to safety protocols in all aspects of production and outdoor work environments; enforce safety standards among team members. Maintain detailed records of batch operations, equipment maintenance logs, safety inspections, and quality control documentation. Skills Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, loaders, cranes, and concrete mixers in manufacturing or construction settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and perform basic repairs or coordinate maintenance. Skilled in welding, machining, fabrication, and interpreting technical drawings using CAD software for precise construction tasks. Familiarity with mixture design principles for concrete production; understanding of concrete forming and finishing techniques. Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation, power tool safety, warehouse procedures, and outdoor work environments. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for mixture proportions and measurements. Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings to guide fabrication or construction activities effectively.
