This is a hands-on technical leadership role with real ownership — you're accountable for water quality, water plant production, and the chemical systems that keep an active industrial energy facility running. If you've spent time in power generation, water treatment, or industrial plant operations and want a role where your expertise directly impacts critical plant performance, this is it. You'll manage the full water treatment picture: filtration, cooling tower, condensate and feedwater systems, on-line analyzer calibration, chemical storage and feed equipment, and water quality sampling and reporting across multiple systems — boiler, closed loop, and cooling tower. It's technically demanding, no two days are exactly the same, and the work you do keeps electricity and steam generation running reliably in a steel production environment. What You'll Do Maintain water quality specs for a combined coke and energy plant generating electricity and steam Perform water sampling; test, analyze, monitor, adjust, and maintain chemical levels across all plant water systems Operate and maintain filtration, cooling tower, condensate, feedwater systems, and associated equipment Calibrate and maintain on-line analyzers — pH, conductivity, hardness, chlorine, silica, and sodium Inspect and manage chemical storage, feed, and control equipment on-site Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshoot system issues, and respond with corrective action Stay on-call and available to respond to plant needs as required Maintain close contact with chemical suppliers to keep systems running efficiently Follow safe chemical handling, lockout/tagout, and PPE protocols at all times What You Bring 3-5 years of experience in power industry, water plant/filtration, or related industrial operations Solid understanding of plant processes, water treatment systems, and associated equipment Ability to conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex water system issues Familiarity with environmental, safety, and compliance regulations in industrial settings Associate degree in water treatment (math, physical science, water filtration, chemistry) preferred — equivalent hands-on experience considered Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable coordinating complex tasks independently Strong communicator and collaborative team member mal credentialsPay:
