Water Operator II (New Posting - Revised Job Description) The Town of Rutland Department of Public Works is accepting applications for a full-time Water Operator II. The Town of Rutland provides drinking water to over 1,800 accounts, mostly residential. The Town has a reservoir, pumping station, treatment facility, storage tanks and over 30 miles of water main. The Water Operator II is involved in all aspects of the Water Division operations from supply to distribution. This is a non-exempt position, with a starting pay range between $25.45 and $31.89, with the actual starting rate dependent on license levels held and practical job experience & education. Applicants must have, as a minimum, at least 2 years of experience and a working knowledge of water treatment plant operations and related activities, and must possess a 2-T water treatment license and a valid driver's license. Must be willing to obtain a Grade 3-T license and 2-D water distribution license. Needs to be available for overtime, weekends, nights, holidays, and shift work under varying conditions.
