Job Description

- Operations - New England Apply Job Type Full-time Description Roll-Off Driver / Plant Technician (CDL-B) Full-Time | Taunton, MA Drive With Purpose.
- Safely operate a roll-off truck to and from transfer stations, landfills, customer locations, and company facilities.
- Perform backing maneuvers in tight and overhead-constrained areas with confidence and precision.
- Inspect trucks, trailers, and equipment before each trip.
- Communicate with dispatch and supervisors to ensure efficient routing and service.
- Respond to scheduled and emergency transportation requests.
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements.
- Maintain equipment in safe operating condition and report maintenance concerns.
- Participate in rotating weekend on-call and overtime schedules.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions. Plant Operations Support When not driving, you'll support our wastewater treatment facility while working alongside experienced plant operators.
- Assist with receiving and processing incoming waste streams.
- Support the operation of pumps, valves, and treatment equipment under established procedures.
- Assist with sludge processing, chemical handling, and general plant operations.
- Perform routine housekeeping and preventative maintenance throughout the facility.
- Monitor equipment and report operational or maintenance concerns.
- Maintain plant logs and operational records.
- Assist with basic sampling and testing as trained.
- Support safe, compliant operation of the facility.
- Cross-train to provide additional operational support as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $28.00 - $34.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Requirements Required
- CDL Class B (Class A accepted) with current medical card.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and physical examination.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Strong commitment to safety, dependability, and quality work.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors.
- Comfortable using tablets or smartphones for routing and communication.
- Willingness to perform both driving and hands-on plant work. Preferred
- Experience operating roll-off trucks, vacuum trucks, or similar heavy equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial equipment.
- Experience working around wastewater, manufacturing, construction, or industrial facilities.
- Forklift and/or confined space certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Interest in learning wastewater treatment operations. Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, kneel, and lift.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Work both outdoors and inside an industrial wastewater treatment facility.
- Comfortable working around noise, dust, chemicals, mechanical equipment, and varying weather conditions.
