This role is essential in supporting daily operations by ensuring equipment functions smoothly and safety standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to operate various machinery, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic industrial setting. Responsibilities Operate and monitor utility, railcar, boiler, scalehouse, loading rack, and production systems safely and efficiently. Perform product transfers, truck and railcar loading/unloading, tank transfers, and line alignments. Monitor and troubleshoot process equipment, pumps, compressors, boilers, steam systems, and related utilities. Respond to operational upsets, equipment malfunctions, and power outages by safely resetting and restarting critical systems. Use computerized control systems (PLC/FactoryTalk) to monitor processes, adjust operating parameters, and support troubleshooting activities. Conduct inventory, measurement, and transaction-related activities while maintaining accurate records. Support polymer, coating, and blending operations as required. Inspect equipment and process conditions, identify issues, and take corrective action to maintain safe and reliable operations. Collaborate with maintenance, logistics, and production teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and operating procedures. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience operating machinery or equipment in a manufacturing or construction environment. Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting. Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Nice to Have Certification in equipment operation or relevant technical training. Experience with asphalt or construction materials. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
