This role is essential in supporting daily operations by ensuring equipment functions smoothly and safety standards are maintained. Duties:

Lab All Tasks for Utility Operator Knows how to reset equipment after power outage Railcars All Tasks for Utility Operator If the car is not emptying, determines if the problem is the hose or strainer Make steam trap Boiler Tests All Tasks for Utility Operator Understands how the deaerator and generator works Can troubleshoot the deaerator Can troubleshoot the steam generator Manual Gauges All Tasks for Utility Operator Understands the accounting aspect of the manual gauges Loading Racks All Tasks for Utility Operator Resolve failed to retrieve order issues What could be the cause of an interlock Product not loading can you troubleshoot Check heat trace temps at the rack Determine what kind of heat tracing is being used Switch line alignment on the computer Switch pump alignment on the computer Pump Sheet All Tasks for Utility Operator Use a blend Add a file to the blend Open / close shift end inventory Check trucks to troubleshoot variance Scalehouse All Tasks for Utility Operator Delete inbounds and annul transactions as necessary Switch scales (one not working) Reset scales Lines All Tasks for Utility Operator Set /switch lines to offload trucks Set rail car lines to tank Can set line to load a truck Can change pump alignments to load trucks Can set line for transfers and tank blends Can set lines for polymer production Can set lines to for coating production Power Outage All Tasks for Utility Operator Knows how to reset/ restart oil pumps Knows location of critical oil pumps Knows how to reset/ restart air compressor Knows how to reset/restart afterburners Knows how to reset/ restart blowers Polymer Plant All Tasks for Utility Operator Can clear sulfur lines if clogged Factory Talk/PLC (Computer Knowledge) All Tasks for Utility Operator Familiar with the polymer plant page and instruments (information) Familiar with nitrogen page and instruments (information) Familiar with the hot oil page and instruments (information) Familiar with the vessels overview page and instruments (information) Familiar with the production overview page and instruments (information) Adjust set points for scfm Understand difference between set point, process value, and output Difference between auto and manual (control) Difference between cascade and local (control) Able to control pumps from the plc using the pumps overview page Experience Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial, or plant operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided
