Job Description
Job Title:
Assistant Superintendent Essential Skills Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management. 3+ years of field experience in commercial construction. Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems, including coordination with other trades. Experience in construction supervision on commercial projects. Proficiency in construction management practices, including field coordination and quality control. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in K-12 or institutional construction environments. Experience in commercial HVAC and mechanical installation oversight. Familiarity with construction logistics planning for equipment deliveries and material staging. Job Description The Assistant Superintendent supports the Project Superintendent in managing day-to-day field operations for a K-12 construction project, with a strong focus on HVAC and mechanical scopes. You will coordinate field activities, oversee installation quality, and help maintain project safety, schedule, and quality standards. This field-based role works closely with subcontractors, trades, and design teams to ensure all work complies with contract documents and project requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lansing, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
