Job description Royal Oak Recycling, a full-service recycler of plastics, paper, cardboard, metal and electronics seeks a hardworking, charismatic, reliable General Manager (primary role) / Dispatch/Fleet Manager (secondary role) to join our team. Job Description:
Individual will oversee day-to-day plant operations as well as daily dispatch/fleet management. Individual will perform a broad range of duties including but not limited to:
Dispatch Manager Duties:
Managing and overseeing of the dispatch team (Semi). Managing and overseeing of the driver team (same as above with approx. 4+ drivers). Responsible for DOT diligence. Responsible for maintenance of equipment used by drivers, including their trucks, trailers, bins. Responsible for creating/maintaining routing strategies that maximize efficiency.
Plant Manager Duties:
Plant Manager will oversee day to day operations, including but not limited to OSHA safety protocol, attendance, employee conduct, hiring/termination, employee paperwork, grading, and other plant paperwork/compliance. Training new plant/driver team members in recognizing all grades of fiber, plastics and metals common to our facility. Assisting with coordination of traffic flow in and outside of the yard. Responsible for the maintaining of inventory of assets and tools, examples would be bundles of baling wire, vertical balers for sale, office consoles, and for the plant•brooms, PPE, spools of bale wire. Manage equipment scheduled maintenance and working with the Mechanical Team.
General Duties:
Working with the office team to conduct proper workflow and processing of loads. Assisting in reporting rejected loads, proper grading of said loads and uploading pictures into cieTrade. Leading people by example•training and guiding all the team members•new and old.
Required Skills:
2+ years in a management position. 3+ years in fleet operations or related field. Must be highly organized and professional, able to multitask, work well under pressure, and have great communication skills. Recycling/waste industry experience a plus. Must be a self-starter and able to work in a team environment with no supervision. Individual must have the ability to work overtime/flexible hours. Hours will vary depending on driver/plant start time and current project needs. Starting hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-5:00pm. All candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
