Job Description
Coastal Energy is a growing, multi-state company specializing in the production and transportation of asphalt and petroleum-based products. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and safety-minded Plant Operator to join our team at our Willow Springs, Missouri facility. The plant operator will assist with the daily operation of our asphalt oil and propane gas terminal . This position is responsible for safely operating equipment, monitoring plant processes, loading and unloading trucks, unloading rail cars, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining accurate operational records. Primary Responsibilities Operate plant machinery and production equipment safely and efficiently Monitor equipment and plant processes to ensure proper operation Load and unload trucks Unload rail cars Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic troubleshooting Maintain accurate production, inventory, and loading records Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Follow all company safety procedures and environmental requirements Communicate equipment problems or operational concerns to management Assist with other plant duties as needed Qualifications and Skills Strong attention to detail Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Good communication and organizational skills Basic computer skills Willingness to work safely around industrial machinery and petroleum-based products Previous plant, manufacturing, equipment operation, or maintenance experience is preferred but not required Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 100 lbs Ability and willingness to work in a mostly outdoor environement year round Benefits Starting pay of $20.00 per hour Company-paid employee health insurance Vision and Dental insurance available Company-paid employee life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid major holidays Most weekends off Opportunities for training, advancement, and promotion from within Coastal is looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and interested in building a long-term career with a growing multi state company.
