H2O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America. H2O is currently seeking a Water Plant Operator to join our team in Pascagoula, MS. The Water Plant Operator is responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance and repair of the municipal water treatment plant to ensure safe, reliable and compliant drinking water. This position requires adherence to state and federal regulations and the ability to respond to operational issuesand emergencies.

Health Insurance, Dental, Vision & TelemedicineHealth Savings AccountLife Insurance401K Retirement Plan with Employer ContributionsPaid Vacation & Sick DaysPaid HolidaysKey ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor water treatment plant equipment, systems and processesPerform routine testing and analysis of water samples to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Adjust chemical feed rates and treatment processes as needed Maintain accurate operational logs, reports and records Inspect, troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on plant equipment Respond to alarms, emergencies and after-hours call-outs as requiredFollow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements Assist with plant cleaning, upkeep and general maintenance Coordinate with supervisors and other staff to ensure efficient operations Replace chlorine cylinders when needed Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions, especially in handling hazardous chemicals Monitor flows and chlorine residuals The Skills We Are Looking For High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Possess or have ability to obtain a State Water Plant Operator certification within a (1) year timeframe Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and on-call schedules The successful candidate will have to pass a background check which includes criminal background & motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug & alcohol screenings.#INDEEDWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity in our workforce.#PASCAGOULA
