Batch Plant Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Batch Plant Operator to oversee the daily operations of our concrete batching facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality concrete by managing batching processes, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining safety standards. Duties Operate and monitor concrete batching equipment, including mixers, conveyors, and silos, to produce consistent quality concrete according to specifications Manage the loading and unloading of raw materials such as cement, aggregates, and additives using forklifts and other heavy machinery Conduct routine inspections of batching plant machinery, perform basic maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures Assist with fabrication tasks such as welding or machining when necessary to maintain or repair plant equipment Maintain accurate records of production data, material usage, and quality control checks for reporting purposes Support warehouse functions by organizing inventory, managing supplies, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, concrete mixers, or similar machinery in a manufacturing or construction setting Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs or adjustments on batching equipment and related machinery Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing techniques, and related construction processes is highly desirable Experience with fabrication, welding, machining or other fabrication skills is a plus Strong understanding of safety standards within manufacturing or construction environments Warehouse experience preferred for inventory management and logistical support Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail Join our team as a Batch Plant Operator and be part of a fast-paced environment where your technical skills drive success!
