Available for qualified candidates Sirius Staffing is seeking an Energy Recovery Operations Lead for a direct-hire opportunity with a large industrial manufacturing facility in Circleville, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Boiler Operator, Utilities Operator, Powerhouse Operator, Stationary Engineer, or industrial utilities professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. The Energy Recovery Operations Lead will help oversee the plant systems that keep manufacturing operations running, including boilers, steam, chillers, water and wastewater systems, compressed air, and energy recovery equipment. This is a technical lead role focused on plant utility operations, troubleshooting, and shift support rather than traditional people management. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on industrial utility experience, a strong understanding of boiler and steam systems, and the ability to recognize and respond to operating issues across multiple plant utility systems. What You'll DoSupport the safe and reliable operation of the plant's Energy Recovery Unit and central utility systems.
Monitor and support industrial boilers, steam systems, chillers, water/wastewater systems, compressed air, and related equipment.
Identify abnormal operating conditions and respond to equipment, process, or utility-system issues.
Perform first-line troubleshooting and make appropriate operational adjustments when problems occur.
Coordinate with plant maintenance teams and outside contractors when specialized repair or technical support is required.
Support incineration, steam generation, energy recovery, and material-handling processes.
Serve as a technical resource for operators during the shift.
Communicate equipment conditions, operating concerns, and shift activities to plant leadership.
Maintain compliance with plant safety procedures and operational standards.
What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED required.
Boiler Operator License strongly preferred; candidates without a current Ohio license must be able and willing to obtain the required State of Ohio Boiler Operator License after hire.
Approximately 2-3 years of industrial boiler, steam, powerhouse, utilities, or related plant-operations experience preferred.
Candidates with 1-2 years of strong hands-on Boiler Operator experience may also be considered.
Strong working knowledge of industrial boilers and steam systems.
Experience with additional plant utilities such as chillers, cooling systems, water treatment, wastewater, air compressors, or power-generation systems is highly desirable.
Experience within a chemical, process manufacturing, heavy-industrial, power-generation, or similar industrial plant environment.
Ability to troubleshoot utility equipment and determine when maintenance or outside technical support is required.
Strong communication, situational awareness, and problem-solving skills.
Previous lead experience is helpful, but formal supervisory experience is not required.
Must be comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, with flexibility between day and night coverage as needed.
