Plant Operator Day Shift & Night Shift Mooresburg, TN About the role Short Mountain Silica is an industrial mining operation seeking a Plant Operator for Day Shift & Night Shift to support safe, efficient production at our facility. This role is hands-on and works directly with plant equipment and processes. We're looking for someone dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn. What you'll do

• Operate and monitor plant equipment and production processes
• Perform start-up, shut-down, and routine operating checks
• Make adjustments to maintain product quality and steady production
• Load/unload material and handle basic material movement as needed
• Operate heavy equipment (loader, dozer, etc)
• Complete routine housekeeping to keep a clean, safe work area
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment/process issues promptly
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and the oncoming shift
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site policies Schedule
• Day or Night Shift, 12-hour shifts, 60+ hrs/week (built-in overtime). Pay

Base Pay:

$16.50 - $19.00/hr, depending on experience

• Since overtime is built into our schedule, the effective hourly rate is estimated to range from $19.50 - $22.00/hr , depending on experience and hours worked. • Strong safety mindset and willingness to follow procedures
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around industrial equipment
• Ability to learn operating processes, gauges, and basic controls
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Preferred but not required: Prior plant, mining, manufacturing, or industrial experience Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and work in an industrial environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance as needed) Ability to work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, and around dust and noise (PPE provided/required).
