Responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining gas compressors and pumping station equipment to ensure efficient and safe transfer of natural gas. Operates controls to regulate pressure, flow rate, and transmission of gas, and records operational data including readings of meters and gauges. Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on compressors, pumps, valves, and ancillary equipment, identifying and addressing mechanical issues to minimize downtime. Coordinates with technical and field staff to troubleshoot and resolve operational anomalies. Ensures compliance with all safety procedures and environmental regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and emergency response protocols. Maintains clear and accurate logs, prepares reports, and communicates operational status to supervisors. May assist in training new operators and support ongoing process improvement initiatives. Requires physical ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments and willingness to work shift schedules, including nights and weekends as needed.
