Job Description
Med-Trans Corporation seeks a professional Helicopter Pilot to support air medical transport operations. In this mission-driven role, you will conduct safe, efficient flights for critical care patients, performing thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections while adhering to FAA and company safety standards. You'll collaborate closely with medical and dispatch teams, operate in diverse weather and terrain, and maintain detailed flight records. Responsibilities Safely operate helicopters for air medical transport missions in diverse weather and terrain conditions Conduct thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks in accordance with FAA and company procedures Coordinate closely with medical and dispatch teams to ensure timely, safe patient transport Adhere to all FAA regulations, company SOPs, and safety management systems Maintain accurate flight logs, reports, and operational documentation Participate in ongoing training, check rides, and simulation to maintain proficiency Assess and manage in-flight risks, making sound decisions under pressure Communicate clearly with ATC, ground crews, and medical personnel during missions Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence Assist with base duties, aircraft readiness, and community/partner outreach as needed Required Skills Helicopter flight operations IFR/VFR procedures FAA regulations and compliance Air medical/HEMS operations Flight risk assessment and management Aviation safety management systems (SMS) Navigation and flight planning Radio and ATC communication Aircraft pre-flight and post-flight inspection Emergency procedures and in-flight decision making
