PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or work pieces as well as select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, turning, grinding attachments, accessories, and materials on laser. Calculate and set controls to regulate cutting and turning factors such as speed, gas pressure, and part clearance and to enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit machine control Programs. Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of- tolerance conditions, and adjust machine controls or control media as required. Machine parts and components within the specified tolerances, with limited scrap and in time with the production schedule. Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and quality standards. Confer with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems. Perform other work related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate Rubber Processing Equipment such as compression presses, extruders, mills, mixer, loading tools, testing equipment, and metal prep equipment. Complete Mold/Tooling set up and inspection. Follow Work Order Routers as specified. Perform material preparations, adhesive application, and flashing removal. Visualize and plan work sequences in order to assemble components and molds to the required specifications. Keep inventory in order; understand and document the inventory movement. Read and understand prints as required to perform production processes.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent with knowledge of basic math and 3+ years in a machining environment. Knowledge of the proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools. Understanding of blueprints and routers. Basic knowledge of BOP's, experience in the rubber industry, and/or manufacturing experience is a plus. Able to complete in-house fork lift and/or overhead crane operations training. Knowledge of the manufacturing/fabrication of sub-assemblies is a plus. Willing to cross-train into other areas.
