In this energetic role, you will oversee the daily functions of water treatment equipment, pump operations, and water management processes. Responsibilities Operate and monitor water treatment and water systems using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to ensure optimal performance. Conduct routine inspections, data collection, and analysis to maintain compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Manage pump operation, industrial pump maintenance, repair tasks, and heavy equipment operation to support continuous plant functionality. Maintain accurate records of water quality parameters, equipment performance, and system logs for reporting purposes. Perform preventative maintenance on water treatment equipment, wastewater systems, and heavy machinery to prevent downtime. Follow all safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently during operations and maintenance activities. Assist with the operation of the entire water treatment process. Troubleshoot mechanical issues, repair equipment promptly, and perform lifting tasks safely during maintenance activities. Support environmental compliance efforts by adhering to all relevant regulations related to water utility distribution and wastewater treatment. Experience Prior experience working in a wastewater treatment plant or water utility environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of water treatment processes, water systems, and associated equipment operation. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and industrial pump maintenance is essential. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform equipment repair and routine maintenance tasks effectively. Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation, hazardous materials handling, and PPE use. Basic math skills for data analysis, measurements, and system calculations are required. Experience working in the energy & utilities sector or similar industrial environments is a plus.
