Job Overview

• Add various chemicals, such as ammonia, chlorine, or lime, to disinfectant water or other liquids
• Inspect equipment on a regular basis
• Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges
• Collect and test water samples
• Record meter and gauge readings, and operational data
• Operate equipment to purify and clarify water, or to process or dispose of sewage
• Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds, and other work areas
• Ensure safety standards are met.
• Stay Current on environmental laws and regulations.
• Maintain Required Classes/Licensing to meet standards through TCEQ.
• May need to work overtime outside of scheduled hours.

Requirements Proven experience working in water treatment plants Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair and maintain water treatment equipment Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and water utility distribution networks. Basic math skills for data analysis, calculations related to flow rates, chemical dosages, and system performance metrics. Experience working within the energy & utilities sector or similar industrial environments emphasizing safety regulations and environmental compliance. Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting issues quickly and effectively while maintaining high safety standards. Physical capability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing or walking, and performing maintenance tasks in various weather conditions. Must have a Class B Surface Water Operator License. Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
