JOB TITLE
Plant OperatorFUNCTION
Under the direction of Plant Manager, Plant Operator preforms railcar unloading, truck loading, and other plant work as instructed.REPORTING TO
Plant ManagerKEY ACTIVITIES
- Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values;
- Operate the truck loading system and rail unloading system in a safe and efficient manner;
- Operate a rail car mover as needed following safety measures;
- Participate in plant safety walkthroughs and inspections;
- Conduct equipment inspections;
- Assist in the maintenance of equipment;
- Maintain a safe work environment;
- Communicate with plant supervisors to accomplish the daily work plan;
- Occasional extended hours and weekend shifts; and
- Perform other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions;
- Problem solving skills;
- Ability to communicate clearly;
- Works well with others;
- Able to lead by example;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites;
- Knowledge of all plant equipment including stationary and rolling stock preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- Experience in safety sensitive positions preferred;
- Experience with railcar and truck unloading equipment preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to move up to 100 lbs. repetitively;
- Frequent bending, standing, lifting, climbing, and ongoing physical activity;
